Sister companies Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus are hiring Heavy Vehicle Mechanic apprentices in Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Tralee, Limerick, Thurles, Longford, Galway, Athlone, Ballina, Stranorlar and Sligo. They warmly welcome applications from women.
Trained to the highest technical standards, you will acquire the ability to maintain various systems associated with modern public service vehicles. This includes training on day to day repairs and preventative maintenance tasks, as well as vehicle diagnostics/fault finding with some of the most advanced systems of its kind in place.
Their apprentices have achieved great success in the National Skills Competition over the years.
During your apprenticeship you will also gain certification in Manual Handling, Working At Heights, Abrasive Wheels, Roadside Vehicle Recovery and Category D (bus) driving Licence.

Wanna Get To Know Aircraft?
Are you a woman or girl with an interest in electrical, mechanical or rather large flying machines??
The WITNI women will be down at the Atlantic Aviation Group Hangar at Shannon Airport.
We will receive a guided tour of the aircraft by Kate Meleady, Aircraft Engineer who will tell us all about her life in aeroplane mode. There are a few places remaining on this tour so contact us if you are keen to come along!
